Planning the food
A package needs a minimum of 25 guests. If you are ordering only a whole pig, the minimum is 30 guests. This is a guide and exceptions can be made depending on your order, so contact us to talk it through.
Our pigs range from 15kg to 40kg. A 15kg pig feeds about 25 people, a 25kg pig about 50, a 30kg pig about 60 and a 35kg pig about 70. You can order more than one: for 80 people we recommend two 20kg pigs.
The menu shows how many guests each platter serves, and we will happily guide you if we think you are ordering too much or too little.
The menu is not designed specifically for vegetarians, but in our experience the canapes, tartlets, finger food, bread, potatoes and salads leave vegetarian guests more than satisfied. We are also happy to design vegetarian options for your party. Just ask.
Yes. We deliver the spit with a whole pig or lamb, set it up and start the cooking for you, then pick the spit up when you are done. DIY spit hire is available to suburbs within about 20km of Drummoyne. To check, search Google for "distance from Drummoyne to" followed by your suburb.
A rough estimate is fine when you book. Final numbers are needed one week before your event so we can make any last adjustments.

Service, supplies and payment
Yes. With our catering, chefs are on site to monitor the whole cook, carve the meat and help serve your guests.
The number of staff depends on the size of your event and the menu. If you would like waitstaff to serve drinks, we recommend booking a company that specialises in waitstaff hire.
Every package includes high quality biodegradable plates, cutlery, napkins and foil trays for leftovers, plus serving platters and utensils. We no longer supply chinaware or glasses because of breakage, but we can recommend party hire companies we have used.
Access to electricity. If your venue has none, a beach party for example, we can offer packages to suit, so contact us. We set up tables to prepare, present and serve the menu, and depending on the weather and space we may put up a marquee to cook under. If you have room, we can prepare the menu in your kitchen.
EFT, cheque or cash. A 25% deposit secures your booking. The balance is due on the day by cash or cheque, or 24 hours before by EFT. Cancellations need 7 days notice in writing; after that the deposit is not refunded.
The date, the suburb, the type of event and a rough guest count. Once you decide to book, we email a booking form with your event details, the confirmed menu and an itemised breakdown of costs. Your booking is secured once you have reviewed it and paid the deposit.
